SEVEN WORDS CRITICAL FOR SUCCESS

OTHERS⁣ It isn’t about you. It is about them. My father in-law had a name plaque on his desk that said “OTHERS” instead of his name. What a great message for people who visited his office. Focus on your customer. Your success will become a byproduct of their success. ⁣

GRATITUDE⁣ Celebrate every good thing, big or small. Genuine gratitude brings joy to your life and opens you up to receive more great things. If we are grateful for small successes, big successes will follow. The universe rewards a grateful heart.⁣

PEOPLE⁣ Building real relationships with coworkers, clients, and vendors. Enjoy the people you are privileged to work with and count “people” as part of your success.⁣

DISCIPLINE⁣ Focus on the objective. Determine the steps necessary to achieve it. Pursue your goals with unrelenting passion.⁣

EDUCATION⁣ The world is always changing (especially the creative industry). The knowledge you have now is not the sufficient to see you through the rest of your career. Want to succeed? Never stop learning.⁣

PATIENCE⁣ Success takes time. We are conditioned to want things “now.” It is likely not going to happen. Be patient. Be persistent. Keep progressing, one day at a time, and success will be inevitable.

VALUE⁣ Exceed expectations of those around you. Give more than expected. Focus on results. Make sure that everything you do has value to those for whom you do it. The more value you give, the more invaluable you become. ⁣
