It's wrong to describe UX vs UI

In reality, UX encompasses

Basically, UX is how it works, while UI is how it looks,

Or, you can say that UX is focused on solving the user's problem, while UI is focused on the look and feel ofthe solution.

But they have to work together, as they are parts of the same whole: the product.
