How to Make a Cool Creative Space
HOW TO MAKE A COOL CREATIVE SPACE
- Keep creative inspiration handy.
My space is filled with books and magazines about design and business...all at arms reach.
- Include things that remind you who you are.
My space has family photos, awards, signs from my agency space, design-nerd toys, and travel souvenirs that remind me of my life experience.
- Don’t skimp on your chair.
Get a chair that is comfortable for long periods of times. If you are going to spend extra money anywhere…spend it on the chair.
- Get the lights right.
Lighting is cheap. My space has spotlights, dimmer switches, industrial style bulbs, and video lights to make the lighting customizable for a variety of looks.
- Make it memorable and unique.
For me, it is all about the bobblehead collection. What makes your space special and memorable?
- Prep your space for photos.
Considering how your space will look in photos help you create a visually cool workplace. The cooler it is to you, the more enjoyable it will be to spend time in it. My Captain America shield provides a nice focal point for photos of my personal studio space.
- Share it.
Sharing your space on your social channels will help build your brand in the eyes of potential clients and fellow creatives. Share your space to the creative community by using the hashtags#AdobeCreativeSetupand#StayInStayInspired
