Beware of These Eight Clients, Pt. 02
Just when you thought it was safe, eight more challenging clients emerged to potentially ruin your life. ⁣

THE GHOST⁣
Your discovery meetings are filled with ideas and collaboration. The client is on board and ready to go! Then you send the final proposal (with the price) and *poof. They disappear. If they balk on price, it usually isn’t worth your time to play ghost hunter.⁣

THE CHANGE ORDER⁣
Everything was fine during the first discovery meeting. Then their priorities shifted, and shifted, and shifted again. A client who can’t stay focused at the start is destined to cause change order grief throughout the project.⁣

THE BROS
The bros have big vision and no experience. In their mind, the only difference between them and Elon Musk is that he is where they will be around this time next year. They fuel each others egos by complimenting their leased Audis and flat brimmed hats.⁣

THE ARROGANT FUNDED⁣
They got their seed money and wear it around like a badge of accomplishment. They still don’t have a product or customers, but the fact that they have an investor has filled their heads with delusions of grandeur.

THE SIMPLER⁣
They think that everything is easy, so their budget threshold is far too small. They aren’t afraid to tell you how long it should take to make their stuff.⁣

THE YES-YES-NO⁣
Everything seems to be going well. Discovery meeting leads to proposal. Proposal leads to verbal greenlight. However, when the deposit invoice is sent, they reveal that they actually don’t have any money to start.⁣ ⁣

THE CHECK IS IN THE MAIL
They allegedly cut the check yesterday and dropped it in the mail. As such, they are hoping to get the first comps tomorrow. (Unfortunately, there is no check and they can’t afford stamps.)⁣

THE DENIER⁣
They don’t care what the research says, they are the ones paying the money so their idea is best.⁣
